Here are a few really cute shots from a Photo-shoot Tom did a few weeks ago. I really love the one of Spiderman after he ended up with his sisters beads on! Beautiful shots like these are part of the reason Tom is the current Family Photographer of the Year.

Mairi and John had a wonderful day full of smiles, they chose the newly renovated Dumfries Arms Hotel which is looking really great, the staircase is gorgeous. We had to use lots of the Hotels new lovely features since the weather was not great and we made the most of all the natural light and colours we could. It really was a great day and I am sure you will agree as you watch the slideshow there is a lot of smiling going on. It is always such a pleasure to be part of that.
Danielle and Kevin were the very lucky winners of the Lochside House Hotel/West FM Wedding Competition 2010, this is the 3rd year we have done the Wedding Photography for the competition. Kevin arrived by Skyway Helicopter while Danielle was chaufeured by Craig Bilham Executive Cars. It was a lovely clear day so they would have had a wonderful view of Lochside and all the really fabulous changes they have been making to the Hotel, we are looking forward to seeing the spa.
As always the day just flew in but luckily we ALL managed to dip a few tasty bites in the Ayrshire Chocolate Fountain and photographed the Sugar and Spice cake being cut but sadly did not taste that one!
Weather wise not every day is perfect and sadly Donna & Chris had very heavy rain and I do believe it does not spoil any ones enjoyment of their wonderful and special day. Lots of umberella’s and people running round holding them over you.
Their Wedding ceremony was at Riccarton Parish Church in Kilmarnock , a really pretty church.
Then a very rainy drive to Lochgreen House Hotel once we were there we had to work very quickly to keep on time.
A few details from the day, Donna’s very stunning wedding dress is by Caroline Castigliano, their cake was Sugar and Spice in Troon, delicious Ayrshire Chocolate Fountain and last but by no means least, it was great to work with Lee from Eclipse Video. If anyone is looking for any of these services we are really happy to recommend all of them.
We thought we would try something new this year and took no bookings on the 28th and 29th of October and had Open Days in our Portrait Studio here in Kilwinning, Ayrshire. Thanks to everyone who came in, our old clients and the now new ones. It was so wonderful to see all those really cute costumes, here are just a few for you to see.
Nicola and Nick have been coming in to us for the last year or so with their gorgeous little girl for cherubs baby photography, she was one of this years finalists in the Master Photographers Association, Cherub of the Year Competition. We are used to seeing Nicola in her jeans and wow did she look wonderful? Nick you are a lucky man.
Another of our gorgeous brides Lynsey Ferguson who is a make-up artist did a fantastic job for Nicola and the girls.
They chose the Carlton Hotel in Prestwick which is looking really lovely, very modern and fresh, they have done a wonderful job and it is getting booked up very quickly. Wonderful food and a wonderful new fresh Ayrshire Wedding Venue.
We only spent a couple of hours with Julie and Paul at the gorgeous Lochgreen House Hotel in Troon. It rained the whole time we were there so Tom needed to get a bit creative and make the most of any light that was available.

Charis and Steven really were such a pleasure to photograph, a fantastic relaxed day full of fun and laughter at the Gailes Hotel, Ayrshire. We often feel like we are guests at the weddings we photograph but in this case we really were.
I love how Charis and Steven and all their friends changed into their trainers in the evening, the dance floor was never empty.
House for an Art Lover in Bellahouston Park, Glasgow is one of Glasgow’s very special Wedding Venues. It is always a pleasure being a Wedding Photographer there. Tom and I went really nice and early knowing the Glasgow Marathon was on that day and roads would be closed. Having arrived really early it was great to sit outside and have a fabulously light, toasted fruit scone with jam and cream!!
The boys arrived nice and early and after Sam and the girls turned up everything ran wonderfully. I love the confetti shots, I don’t think I have ever seen so many people turn up with confetti you will have to look closely to see them! There was lots of lovely colour around still to help make their photographs really pretty. I also love how Tom manages to take the formal photographs but also capture all the fun, natural and relaxed photographs too.
